Public Health Institute of Metropolitan Chicago (PHIMC) seeks proposals from eligible organizations in Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) Region 2 to participate in the IDHS Transgender and Gender Diverse (TGD) Wellness and Equity Program. IDHS Region 2 consists of the following Illinois counties: Boone, Carroll, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Jo Daviess, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, Lee, McHenry, Ogle, Stephenson, Whiteside, Will, and Winnebago.
With this opportunity, the TGD Wellness and Equity Program will fund participating organizations to increase their capacity to provide culturally and/or medically competent gender-affirming psychosocial, psychological, and/or behavioral health supports to transgender, gender diverse, intersex, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer (TGD/LGBTQ+) populations in Region 2 of Illinois.
PHIMC intends to award approximately $560,000 in IDHS-identified Region 2 of Illinois.
