Inclusive Curriculum Law Guidance 

The Inclusive Curriculum Law, which took effect on July 1, 2020, mandates that all Illinois public schools include the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) individuals in the teaching of Illinois and United States history. The Inclusive Curriculum Advisory Council of Illinois, which includes PHIMC’s Illinois Safe Schools Alliance, Equality Illinois, and The Legacy Project, developed this Guidance to support educators and school administrators with implementation.

Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) asked Community Reentry Project (CRP) to lead a planning process to inform IDPH’s statewide HIV/AIDS strategic plan. This presentation was prepared for the 2014 Illinois HIV/STI Conference.

HIV/AIDS Prevention, Testing, and Treatment: Illinois Jail and Detention Center Survey Results Summary, 2023
This report details the condition of HIV education, prevention, testing, and treatment in Illinois county detention facilities in Spring 2023, based on a comprehensive analysis of the literature related to jail and prison healthcare and the implementation of participatory action research procedures.

Recommendations on the Role and Future Directions of Community Health Workers in the Public Health Workforce, 2021
Developed and published by the COVID-19 Workforce Development workgroup of National Network of Public Health Institutes, this report is a series of recommendations for research, policy, and practice, and is based on interviews with community health workers (CHWs), their employers, and staff from associations that serve CHWs.
