Public Health Institute of Metropolitan Chicago (PHIMC) seeks proposals from eligible organizations to participate in the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) Transgender and Gender Diverse (TGD) Wellness and Equity Program.
The TGD Wellness and Equity Program will fund organizations across Illinois to increase their capacity to provide culturally and/or medically competent gender-affirming care for TGD/LGBTQ+ populations. Participating organizations will (a) Increase their capacity to provide culturally and/or medically competent gender-affirming care to transgender, gender diverse, intersex, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer (TGD/LGBTQ+) populations across Illinois, and (b) Recruit, train, and manage regional Healthcare Navigation Specialists.
Interested candidates may apply in one or more of the following funding categories:
- Capacity Building: Continuous Funding
- Healthcare Navigation Specialists
- Capacity Building: One-Time Funding
PHIMC intends to award approximately $1.5. million across IDHS-identified regions in Illinois. Interested candidates are encouraged to:
