National Health Corps Chicago
PHIMC manages a network of AmeriCorps Members who are placed with partner organizations in Chicago through AmeriCorps’ National Health Corps (NHC) Chicago program.
These AmeriCorps members serve for one year, providing vital services — such as increasing access to care for underserved populations, providing health education, developing tools and curricula, conducting community outreach, linking people to care for both mental and physical health, and in many other ways addressing the social determinants of health specific to each community.
