Public Health Institute of Metropolitan Chicago, on behalf of the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH), Office of Violence Prevention and Behavioral Health, is pleased to announce $573,898.06 has been awarded to eight agencies for Substance Abuse Prevention, Treatment and Recovery Services in Chicago.
This grant portfolio will support the CDPH Healthy Chicago 2.0 priorities for substance abuse prevention, treatment, and recovery services, and makes funding available for interventions targeting priority populations in community areas that are geographically distributed across Chicago. Specifically, this funding will support the delivery of high quality services in the following three categories: treatment, detoxification, and recovery services. Under this grant, these services will reach targeted priority populations, including: Uninsured/Underinsured Adults; Adolescents; Adult and Youth Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Persons; Formerly Incarcerated Persons; Homeless Persons; Individuals or Families involved with the Child Welfare System; and persons diagnosed with both Mental Illness and Substance Abuse disorder (co-occurring). The specific awards for Prevention and Naloxone will be released in the coming weeks.
