In July 2016, PHIMC said goodbye to Oliver Nichols, the organization’s longest serving employee. Mr. Nichols began working with PHIMC in 2001. He first held the role of Executive Director before transitioning to Senior Financial Advisor and later Deputy Director – Finance, a position he held until his retirement. Prior to joining PHIMC, Oliver founded and led an accounting firm in Connecticut, and during this time, he provided fiscal accountability and management primarily with non-profit organizations.
“Oliver has contributed so much to PHIMC during his many years with the organization.” said Executive Director, Karen A. Reitan. “He has worked hard to ensure PHIMC’s growth and stability and has been a wonderful mentor to me. He will be sorely missed.” Oliver has been an active member of the community and in governmental affairs, including serving on the board of directors for the NAACP and volunteering his financial expertise to multiple non-profits. In his retirement he plans to volunteer with Men and Women in Prison Ministries, travel, and spend time with his grandson.
